¿Que tal?

Hello family and friends! Happy memorial day! I hope everyone is having a great day off, resting up and sleeping all day :) its technically a holiday for me too, or i guess you could call it thatsince its P-Day but anywho :) Lets see what else is new? This week we started to get back into thegrind. going out and knocking a lot of doors to try and find new investigators and like i always wanted...to find a family! We have acouple possibilities but we will have to see how it all comes along :) We have this one Hna that we found names Katy who is incredibly niceand just had a kid like 2 weeks ago so she hasnt been able to come tochurch but she really shows a desire to learn. Its really quite simplewhen it comes to missionary work. People say its all about the workand it really is. You can "force" someone or "·compel" someone tobelieve in this message by the way you teach but when it all come downto it...thats not going to work often. It really comes down to....goto work prayerfully and faithfully and depend on the Lord to workwithin the hearts of the people we teach. For example this last weekwe had another Investigator named Katy that is 17 and she basically begged us to be baptized. But the thing is...she was completelyprepared before hand. We knocked on her door one day and she said shewas busy and so we left her a pass a long card and invited her to english classes like we do for every other person that turns us down.Little did we know that she was actually going to show up. Not onlydid she show up to english class with questions about Joseph Smith, but she has also attended church the last 4 weeks and young womansactivities without us even passing by to pick her up and bring herhere. (which if you knew Peru and missionary work....that is a miracle in and of itself ;) That was proof to me that we really have nothing to do with it. We are just here to be faithful and to able to carry this message, using the spirit to the people here in La Union. I almost wanna call it "luck" but i think we both know its not luck, its just the people that have been touched by the spirit of the Lord and now have a desire to find the truth. I remember when I and all the elders in my group got here at the same time and we were all complaining about the language and the culture and i just look back and laugh because now i see those same elders and i look at myself and see how far we come and its pretty amazing. NOW when i think about Peru and the culture, I cant get enough of this place. I really love it. Its a little scary to say considering howdirty and unnatural it may seem considering where i have lived mywhole life, but this place feels like home now :) I love this work so much! And on top of that im an incredibly lucky guy that has anamazing family and friends at home supporting him. Thanks for that :) couldnt do it without you all! Hope you all have a fantastic short work week! Until the next time! Con mucho amor
